We’re constantly on the lookout for tech-positive ideas that create societal change. Our job is to ensure that entrepreneurial and technological innovations benefit the many rather than the few.
Illusian’s decade of philanthropic experience spans from catalyzing and supporting ambitious initiatives to strategic sparring and optimizing for financial sustainability. Whether it’s developing an impact measurement platform, a mental health helpline powered by AI, or games teaching kids valuable social skills, we’re bridging the gap between tech innovations and non-profits.
In some projects, we’re actively involved as operators; in others, we provide catalytic capital, network access, and mentoring. Our community spans from global tech giants and emerging startups to social innovators and grassroots change makers. The goal is to bring these worlds together.
Currently, we channel most of our philanthropic efforts through the Ilkka Paananen Foundation, established in 2015. The organization’s mission is to increase social inclusion and equity: We want to provide children, youth, and families with equal opportunities to live a fulfilling life, regardless of background. One of our most significant initiatives, We Foundation, has developed a platform for impact measurement: the goal is that in the future, all organizations working with social inclusion can verify their activities’ positive impact and reach.
